About Shireen Chew
Shireen Chew is a Partner at HLB Atrede, with more than 13 years’ experience in public accounting and assurance. She began her professional career with HLB Atrede in 2012 and has progressed through increasingly senior leadership roles, building extensive experience in statutory audits, financial reporting, engagement management and client service.
Throughout her career, Shireen has built a strong reputation for technical competence, reliability and a practical approach to resolving complex audit and accounting matters. She has extensive experience managing multiple engagements concurrently, allocating resources effectively, monitoring progress and ensuring that assignments are completed to a high standard within agreed timelines.
As a Partner, Shireen plays an active role in leading audit engagements, developing people and strengthening client relationships. She works closely with business owners, finance teams and management to understand their operations, identify financial reporting and internal control issues and provide practical recommendations tailored to their circumstances. She is committed to maintaining high standards of audit quality, professional ethics and responsive client service.
She is also passionate about building capable and motivated teams. Shireen supports the development of junior professionals through coaching, supervision and on-the-job guidance, while encouraging accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Shireen holds a degree from the University of London and is a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Internal Auditors. She is also a registered Public Accountant in Singapore.
