Our History

At HLB Atrede, our story is grounded in partnership, shared values, and a commitment to excellence. We were formed through the union of two well-established firms—Steven Tan & Co. (STC) and B H Tan & Associates (BHT)—each with a long-standing history of serving businesses in Singapore.

Our roots trace back to 1987, when Mr Steven Tan founded STC, drawing on his experience as former Managing Partner of Goh, Tan & Co., a constituent firm of Deloitte Singapore. Over time, STC grew steadily, joining Russell Bedford International in 2002 and later becoming Steven Tan Russell Bedford PAC.

In 2001, Mr Andrew Tan established BHT with a vision for growth and transformation. Through strategic expansion, BHT joined HLB International in 2013 and was rebranded as HLB Atrede, reflecting a forward-looking and integrated approach to professional services.

A significant milestone was achieved on 1 January 2023, when STC and BHT combined to form the HLB Atrede of today. This merger brought together complementary strengths, enhancing our ability to serve clients with greater depth, insight, and responsiveness.
