About Wong Kok Siong
Wong Kok Siong brings over 25 years of extensive experience in taxation, advising a broad spectrum of clients ranging from local enterprises to multinational and listed companies in Singapore, as well as regional and global organisations across Asia Pacific, the United States, and Europe. His depth of experience enables him to provide practical, commercially focused tax solutions in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
He is highly proficient in Singapore income tax law and practice and has advised extensively on cross-border taxation matters, including the application of double taxation agreements. His expertise covers key areas such as withholding tax, permanent establishment exposure, and international tax structuring. Kok Siong is also actively involved in tax advisory and due diligence assignments, particularly in the context of corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and investment structuring.
Prior to joining HLB Atrede, Kok Siong was a Senior Tax Manager with Deloitte, where he gained significant experience working on complex, large-scale engagements.
In addition to his client work, Kok Siong is a regular speaker at tax seminars and workshops, where he shares insights on corporate tax planning, regulatory developments, and practical approaches to managing withholding tax and cross-border tax risks.
Kok Siong holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Second Class Honours), with a minor in Finance and Management, from Nanyang Technological University. He is an Accredited Tax Advisor with the Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals and an Associate Member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants.
